What is the MySQL?

MySQL is the most popular Open Source SQL database management system,.  9 out of 10 websites are using MySQL. It is simple and application friendly software.  It has all needed RDBMS features and used by Google, Facebook , YouTube, Twitter and  many big brad companies with huge traffic.

 

How MySQL named ?

Its name is a combination of "My", the name of co-founder Michael Widenius's daughter, and "SQL", the abbreviation for Structured Query Language.
